Vadim is a cinematographer working across documentary, commercial, and narrative film. Born in the USSR, raised in Lithuania, and having come of age in Brooklyn, New York, his work is deeply shaped by a life lived across cultures.

As a cinematographer, Vadim has filmed in more than 20 countries, shooting numerous short films and collaborating with notable brands while continually refining his storytelling and pushing his creative limits.

Growing up as a tricultural kid speaking three languages, communication was always central to his life. That curiosity about people and cultures naturally evolved into filmmaking. His work as a director reflects a deep interest in human connection, lived experience, and the stories that often go unheard.

Vadim believes filmmaking is a collective effort—one built on trust, collaboration, and relationships that last well beyond the call sheet. He is drawn to stories that bring overlooked or forgotten voices to the screen.

A graduate of the American Film Institute, Vadim is currently in post-production on his first feature film, A Fire Inside, shot in Catalonia, Spain. He is also continuing work on a documentary project filmed in Lithuania that explores the idea of the “third culture kid.”

Bicoastal between New York and Los Angeles, Vadim is an avid traveler who finds inspiration in the outdoors, cooking, and sharing meals around the world. Above all, he hopes his work honors the sacrifices his immigrant parents and grandparents made to give him the opportunity to pursue a life as an artist in a diverse and creative industry.
